WELCOME
TO MY WEBSITE
First of all, let me introduce
myself:
I am Angelique Hoekstra and live in
Groningen, the Netherlands.
After studying art, I became a
qualified seamstress with a degree to teach.
My big passion is making porcelain
dolls, in 1:12 and 1:24 scale, which suits dollhouses and also appeals to
collectors. The dolls are made of porcelain and are available in different
colours.
I cast the dolls from commercial
moulds from well known artists, but I like the challenge of making changes, so
they are not so standard anymore. My collection consists of a large and still
extending amount of moulds. The dolls are sold bare, but with hair and if wanted
with additional painted shoes and stockings.
Those which are dressed come with
clothing designed by myself. In the gallery you can see examples of past work. I
hope you'll enjoy my creations.
You can visit me and my husband on
a number of (international) fairs.
